Hazel R. (DeMoss) Fletcher

Hazel R. (DeMoss) Fletcher, 94, of Mooresville and a long-time resident of the Gasburg area, passed away Monday the 3rd of June at Worthington Place, Camby. Hazel was born August 13, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Harry and Mary Jane (Hallas) DeMoss.
She attended Arsenal Tech High School, Indianapolis. Hazel continued her education in nursing, proudly serving with the USN Cadet Corp from 1943-1945. Mrs. Fletcher spent may years as a house wife on the family farm. She loved the farm life, animals of all kinds, and was careful to catch even the smallest of bugs, only to release them back into the great outdoors. She had wonderful friends and enjoyed entertaining in her home. She also loved music, movies, chocolates and pecans.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry DeMoss, Jr.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Howard Fletcher and cousins, that she brought joy to in her later years.

Hazel was a Wonderful Lady. I had the pleasure of caring for her and her husband. She always was very sweet with a great sense of humor. She was truly beautiful inside and out. I will miss you Dolly. ❤️ I know you are in Heaven with Jesus. ߙϰߒ
Aunt Doll made me smile and I have wonderful memories of her that I will cherish forever. She is with Jesus and has been reunited with Aunt Jane and Uncle Harry.
I will miss you always, Aunt Doll! You brought so much joy and wisdom to my life and I look forward to the day we will be together again in Heaven! Thanks for the memories~ XO JAN
She is also survived by her only niece, Michele Terese DeMoss, Harry’s daughter.
