Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Lived next to the Barnett’s for many years, my sister and brother were around the same age as Ann and Mark and were great friends. The whole family are/were great people and I feel privileged to have have known them. Now Donna and Don are together strolling over heaven. Sorry for your loss and I pray God comforts you.

  2. Growing up next to the Barnett’s was wonderful. I have nothing but fond memories of them all. You couldn’t ask for better neighbors or friends. I’ll never forget that Donna was the only person my entire life who ALWAYS called me Johnie Michael. Not Johnie, not Michael, but Johnie Michael…always. I think it was an endearment. She and Don were always so good to me. Treating me like their own. Taking me on trips with them. Taking me to their lake house on Lake Lemon. I couldn’t possibly think more of anyone on this earth. I know she and Don have great big smiles on their faces and are reunited right now with our Lord.

  3. I didn’t know Donna well but us girls at Davita in Plainfield loved her stories. We enjoyed talking to her and loved laughing with her. Prayers to the family.

  4. When I went into the 4th grade at Maple Grove Donna Barnett was my teacher. Our class was her first class out of college. Then I discovered she knew my uncle from Washington High School. Being her first year she expected much from her class and I excelled under her. She was always a fair, kind teacher but knew how to work with her class. My mother worked in the PTA it was called then and my mother really liked her. Sorry for your loss. I seen in Mooresville Times. May God be with your family through this time.

  5. Oh no, I just found out Ann, I wish I would have seen it sooner, I would have come to the funeral home. Your Mom was a character, I remember her laugh and I always thought how smart she was. She would remind you about your homework and piano practice when we’d be hanging out. Ann and Mark, I’m sorry for your loss, its so hard to say goodbye. You’re parents have been separated for so long, I’m glad they’re reunited again.

  6. So sad to hear of this news. Donna always had something funny to say and spunk that matched that fiery red hair. She will be missed
