Jesse W. Miller

Jesse W. Miller, 81, Mooresville, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, August 17, 2018. Jesse was born February 22, 1937, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He enjoyed an accomplished career in construction, being employed at Grady Brothers for more than 35 years. He received his 50 year pin from the International Union of Operating Engineers recently. Jesse enjoyed fishing and took great pride in his garden – often sharing his harvest with friends and family. He also loved country music, dancing and playing bingo at the Moose Lodge, and watching Western movies. One to stay close to his roots, he never turned down an opportunity to visit his sister in Kentucky. Jesse will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline (Miller) Green; step-father, Zack Green; a son, Mark Miller; two brothers, William Miller and Junior Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl “Sherry” Miller, to whom he was united in marriage June 12, 1999; sons, Mike (Mary) Miller of Indianapolis, Ronnie (Heather) Miller of Danville, Donnie (Rhoda) Miller of Indianapolis; daughters, Michele (Curt) Peyton of Plainfield and Melissa (Brett) Walker of Camby; sister, Barbara Goodbread of Kentucky; step-sons, Kris Nuetzman of Mooresville and Brad (Kelly) Nuetzman of Indianapolis; many grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather Tuesday, August 21, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at
Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
