Deloma Jeanette Blythe

Also known by many as "Mampsie" passed on Saturday December 16, 2017, while surrounded by her family. Jeanette was the wife of Elva "Shorty" Blythe, Mooresville Indiana, & the mother to Eddie (Cindy) Blythe, Diana Blythe, Jennifer "Jaye" (Amber) Helmkamp-Blythe and Donnie Blythe. She was the beloved Mampsie to 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Elva, and son, Donnie Blythe. Jeanette was a very sweet and loving lady her family describes her as the epitome of unconditional love, acceptance and an angel on Earth. She enjoyed flower arranging, Saturday shopping days with the girls, cooking for her family, roses & all things of beauty. However, what she loved the most was being surrounded by and caring for her family. Her loss will be felt by the many who encountered her loving nature, sweet heart & unending kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Visitation will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

  1. Fly high my sweet Mampsie. I know you will have a special job in Heaven as you have had here on Earth. No one will ever be able to replace you and our “run around” days will be amiss without you. Give my love to those up there with you. I am sure they are so happy to be with you now. I KNOW my bff will take excellent care of you until we meet again. I love you with all my heart.
    Love, Tracy xoxo

  2. My beloved mom was a treasure that her family and all who knew her loved. She was kind, caring, generous, compassionate, and light hearted. She helped her friends and neighbors, as well as her family, however she could. Whenever you walked into her home she always tried to feed you! We all loved her fried chicken and fried potatoes! She worked outside the home briefly, but preferred to be a full time mom. She worked right beside my dad as they built their home themselves. She and Dad always kept a garden that the kids or grandkids could pick a pumpkin out of. Many times dad would call her down to his garage to help him perform some mechanical task or send her to Mooresville to get a car part. She planted rose bushes and grandma’s sweet peas and tried to help dad understand that they were more than things he had to mow around. We always went to grandma’s house, at least once a week, if not more. She loved her life and her family. She didn’t really need much more than being with all of us. Loving her family made her happy, I think she was a very wise woman. I will miss her every single day for the rest of my life.

  3. Jennifer, Meagan, Savanna and Roni, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. Please know that I am thinking of you all, and love you very much.
    Prayers and hugs,
    Aunt Vicki

  4. You will forever be in our hearts mampsie. I know there is rejoicing in heaven now that your precious spirit has returned home. Till we meet again in heaven, thank you for allowing me and my children a place in your family and your heart. I will forever be grateful to have had you in my life.

  5. When my family would come to Indiana to visit, I would love the time that I got to spend with my Aunt Jeanette. Sleepovers at Elva and Jeanette’s house with my cousin Jennifer will always be special memories for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Roxanne

  6. Thank you for your kind words Roxanne, Vicki, and Kathy.
I’m sorry to those we were not able to notify in a timely manner.
To all who came to pay your respect or did so in another way, thank you from our entire family.
