Erma Louise DeLieto
September 16, 1922 ~ August 29, 2017
Erma Louise DeLieto
94, Camby, passed away on August 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Erma was born on September 16, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Howard Robinson and Helen (Cheslyn) Davidson.
Erma met her beloved husband Carmine at a dance at Stout Field while he was in the military. Almost immediately they knew it was meant to last as they spent 52 years together in marriage until Carmine’s passing in 1997.
She was a member of St Thomas Moore Catholic Church, Mooresville and a life time member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority. She enjoyed cake decorating, quilting, needlepoint, sewing and traveling to Coney Island or to the beaches of Florida. However, it was spending time with her family that brought her the most joy! Her family always looked forward to Sunday spaghetti and meatballs dinners at her home! She was known for her blend of down home and Italian cooking! Whether you knew her as “Erma, Mom, Erm, O Mar, Auntie Lanta, Granny or Nanny Luigi”, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmine A. DeLieto, son; Frank DeLieto, brothers; Chuck Robinson, William Robinson, Larry Davidson and a sister; Geneva Hull.
Survivors include her children; Caroline Stanley, Helen Best (Jim), brother; Donald Robinson, sisters; Alberta Morgan, LaVonne Nontell, 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday September 3rd from 2-6pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held Monday September 4th at 9:30am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Mooresville Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family.
With Love to Aunt Erma,
Her showing is on Sun. Where does everybody go on Sundays …..to Aunt Erma’ s for spaghetti and meatballs and at 2:00 She planned that tooooo, one last Family gathering with my favorite Aunt. It’s been that day and time for , well the last 50 years. Uncle Carl and Aunt Erma’s, the house of Love and if you left there still hungry, that my friend was your fault. You know Uncle Carl said no knocking on the door because “he didn’t want to get up.”
Come on in. He would give you a bear hug and give you a banana and the coffee was always hot.
After Mike’s mom passed, and my mom passed Aunt Erma told me she would love to step in for awhile..not to take her sisters place or my mom’s but if I needed a hug now and then, she was there. I was her #3 daughter..and we loved each other. She’d call one day and say, take me to cut Asparagus, I said ok do we pick em off a tree or bush? She said you are a city girl. I’ll teach ya!S o we Cut them off at ground level clean em put em in a frying pan plenty of butter and garlic. DAMN they were good. We picked strawberries and more
strawberries for Queen Contest.
She always wanted to go shopping. So I would get her and go. She liked to go to Ayres for Tea – that was a surprise She really enjoyed that. She even came to Wi and stayed with us for 2 weeks and she TAUGHT me how to make a Lemon pie with no tears in the meringue. It was good too . And shopping every day. Took her to buy Christmas for Helen and Sis she wanted to pick them out, so me and Mike took her. For the last time me and Dawn went shopping for Her. We bought her a night gown with a cover-up, Dawn bought her long comfy pants and of course I bought her Sexy panties. She will love them going through the the Peral Gates
I have a lot of Memories for My 3rd Mom if the girls said no She’d say call Vic she’ll do it, or she’ll take me, or she’ll buy it.
Dawn and me with the boys were the lucky ones to tell her Good Bye and we Loved her so much. She said she loved us too. It was hard for Cooper to say good bye.
Say a prayer for My second family.
They took such good care of her.
They will need hugs in the days to come. So many good memories of her making Christmas candy, Me and Dawn have spent a number of days just hanging out at her house with Sis ,Helen ,Kim ,and Ashley all the girls having coffee or a little bit of Granny’s stash ߘ She did like her wine. So many stories and love from this great Lady !!
See you on the other Side.

I will always love you Aunt Erma and will treasure all the memories we made!!!
All I can say is I hope I am half the woman she was. So many memories with you and your unconditional love towards everyone who came in your house!!!! I remember coming home with the 1st ultrasound of Donny and telling your 1st that i was pregnant with your very 1st great great grandchild and how you just loved each of my children.. But my favorite memory is you dancing with me at my wedding, you had always promised me you would and you sure did. I Love You for ever and always… Good bye for now till we meet again!!!!
I am very sorry for your loss. The Bible can offer much needed comfort at this difficult time. Jesus said at John 5:28 and 29, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life…”
