Donald R. Gibson
78, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home on August 28, 2017. Donald was born on February 7, 1939 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to the late Frank and Lucille (Harris) Gibson.
Donald worked as a custodian for Mooresville School Corporation for over 23 years, before retiring in 2010. After retiring, he went back to work for Skeens Warehouse Services for several years, until his passing.
He married Margaret M. Gibson on Valentine’s Day in 1978. Margaret preceded him in death in 2009. He will be remembered as a humble, simple man who loved his family and will be greatly missed by his family and friends!
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother; Ronnie Gibson and a daughter in law Tracy Waterman.
He is survived by his children; Dawn Bain (Mike), Cynthia Kinser (Jim), Lisa Kinser, Ray Waterman, a brother; Johnny Gibson, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 31st from 4-8pm in Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held Friday September 1st at 11am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

I have known Don for many years I use to wait on him at Biffs quite often. He and Peg where my daughters neighbor on Edgewood Dr. I use to see him quite often just around Mooresville.Don was a very kind and careing man I will miss seeing him in and around town.God Bless all of the Family.
