Harold R. "Sonny" Secrest, II

Harold R. “Sonny” Secrest II, 58, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home August 15, 2017. Sonny was born January 20, 1959, in Indianapolis.

He graduated from Monrovia High School and DePauw University. Sonny was the owner and operator of H.R. Secrest Concrete Contracting for 20 years. He enjoyed bass fishing, but was most content in the comfortable surroundings of his home. Sonny bravely battled COPD and emphysema during the past several years. He will be fondly remembered by his loved ones for his kind, loving and graceful spirit.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Barkley-Secrest; daughter, Emma Secrest; mother, Yvonne Wolfe; father and step-mother, Harold and Margaret Secrest; half brothers, Richard and Raymond Wolfe.

According to Sonny’s wishes, an open house will be held to celebrate his life at the family residence on Saturday, August 19, 2017, 2 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Emphysema Foundation.
