Wanita E. Clem, 92, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Indiana University Hospital West in Avon. Born July 16, 1925, Wanita was the daughter of the late Silas W. and Dorothy (Aber) Earles. On April 22, 1945 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, James I. Clem, Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 8, 1990.

Wanita was a homemaker and a member of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon. She was known to be an excellent seamstress, but also enjoyed reading and knitting. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Wanita’s memory will be cherished by her loving family.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline LaVette.

Survivors include her son, Thomas B. (Linda D.) Clem of Mooresville; daughter, Dorothy Clem of Plainfield; her brother, Claude Earles of Brownsburg; her granddaughter, Stephanie (Steven) Leep; and her great grandson, Austin Alan Leep.

Funeral services for Wanita were held privately. She will be laid to rest next to James at the Mooresville Cemetery at a later date.
