Nancy D. Caldwell, 69, of Mooresville, passed unexpectedly the morning of Monday, June 5, 2017 at her home. Born in Montgomery County, Indiana on July 6, 1947 Nancy was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Brown) Groves; her father preceded her. On October 17, 1967 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Randy L. Caldwell and he survives.

Nancy was a loving and caring wife, mother and homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed collecting quilts and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and especially her great grandson, Corbin.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Randy; her mother, Margaret Groves; son, Phillip L. (Andria Scales) of Camby; daughter, Laura B. (Marty) Wilson of Flat Rock; two brothers, Robert Groves of Crawfordsville and John (Wanda) Groves of Crawfordsville; her sister, Linda (Harold) Carpenter of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Jordan Caldwell, Codilee Caldwell, Cortney Caldwell, Daniel Wilson, and Hunter Wilson; and her great grandson, Corbin Wagner.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Nancy D. Caldwell at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Center Community Church, 5838 S. 700 E., Plainfield, IN 46168. Following cremation, Nancy will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville at a later date. Final care and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. I am truly going to miss our many telephone calls, visits and what project should we fight for in Mooresville. She will be gone from our sight, but never our memory, gone from our hearing, but never our hearts, gone from a touch, but her presence is felt, and the love that she gave us never departs.   10. Before retiring I worked at Menards.. I had many special guests I loved seeing when they came in. Nancy was definitely one of them. I really enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. May God bless and comfort all of you.

  12. I met this sweet lady about 40 years ago when her daughter and I became friends through church. Over the years, I spent many weekends at her home. She treated me like one of her own, a 2nd Mom to me. Many laughs and giggles were shared. She always had a smile on her face. Randy, Phillip, and Laura-She loved you all so much and will be looking down from heaven as your guardian angel. She was blessed w/a beautiful family including grandkids and a great grandson. She was truly happy and would want you all to remember the good times and know she’s not suffering.
