Leslie Lynn Wilson

Leslie Lynn Wilson, 50 of Plainfield, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 after a courageous, four and a half year battle with ovarian cancer. Leslie was born in Beech Grove on May 30, 1967 to Thomas Wayne and Lynn (Watkins) Sanders; both of her parents survive. On June 6, 1987 Leslie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Don Wilson and he also survives.
Leslie was a 1985 graduate of Mooresville High School. She worked at Matrix Label in Plainfield for several years and was the office manager at Trent Electric in Plainfield for 19 years. Leslie and Don shared a love for animals, especially Golden Retrievers, having devoted a great deal of time volunteering for various research and rescue organizations throughout the years. Leslie attended Life Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Mooresville. A loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, her memory will be forever cherished by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Don Wilson; parents, Tom and Lynn Sanders; brother Daniel (Beverly) Sanders; Nieces, Hannah Sanders, Holly Duffy, Haliegh Sanders, Morgan Wheeler; nephew, Josh Wheeler; sister-in-law, Helen (Mark) Wheeler; and her two fur babies, Cooper and Sarah.
Family and friends will gather from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Additional calling will be from Noon until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mooresville Cemetery. Leslie, although I never met you personally, we were part of a greater family, connected by our pets and our mission. Through that family, you touched not only our lives, but the lives of many others. Your work left a mark here on earth and will continue.
