Karen S. Monroe, 65, of Mooresville, passed away January 29, 2017 at The Waters of Martinsville. She was born July 6, 1951 in Martinsville. Her father, Charles Pryor preceded her in death.
Karen worked as a clerk at the Dairyland in Brooklyn for several years.
Along with her father, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Angela K. Hogan.
Survivors include her husband, Don Hansel of Mooresville; daughter, Michelle L. Monroe of Martinsville; seven grandchildren, Caleb and Charles Kaylor, Zac Sherron, Dakota Crowe, Jaden, Shelby, and Donnie Ballard; and several great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Karen Monroe from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Way of The Cross Church, 359 N.
