Robert G. Polson, 86, of Mooresville, passed away January 16, 2017 at his residence in Mooresville. He was born in Monticello, Kentucky on March 31, 1930 to the late Murrell and Flossie (Daniel) Polson. On November 19, 1977 Bob was united in marriage to his loving wife, Carolyn J. (Wyatt) Polson and she survives.

Bob was a car salesman at Ray Skillman (formerly Tom Wood Pontiac) for many years; he retired in February of 2013. He attended Plainfield Bible Church. Bob enjoyed walking his dog, Coal and tending to his yard. Competitive by nature, he enjoyed winning and playing cards with his family.

Along with his parents, Bob is also preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Danny K. Polson; two brothers, Carl and Tommy Polson; and two sisters, Ruth Kendrick and Doris Forester.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Carolyn; three sons, Gary W. Polson of Camby, Robert A. (Shelly) Polson of Loves Park, Illinois and Jonathan D. (Lindsey) Polson of Plainfield; his sister, Betty (Jim) Burgess of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Robert Polson from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Plainfield Bible Church, 752 Dan Jones Road, Plainfield. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
