Dorothy Bixler, 90 of Plainfield, passed away during the early morning hours on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at IU Health West Hospital in Avon. Born in Mitchell, Indiana on November 30, 1926 Dorothy was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Byrd) Tow. She was united in marriage to her loving husband Lloyd Bixler, Jr. who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Thomas P. (Deborah) Bixler of Danville, David L. (Michelle) Bixler of Kokomo, and Linda S. Bethuram of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Her two sons, Donald L. and Wayne A. Bixler also preceded her in death.

There will be no services for Dorothy at this time. The family is grateful to have recently celebrated her long life at her 90th birthday celebration. Final care and cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
