Greta Faye Casey, 46 of Clermont, passed away November 25, 2016 at IU West Hospital. The daughter of Thomas M. and Carolyn D. (Schell) Roberts, Greta was born in Indianapolis on August 15, 1970; her father preceded her in death. On May 4, 1991 she was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Dennis Ray Casey and he survives.

Greta was a 1989 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and worked as a picker at Brylane for 16 years. She was a member of True Word Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Greta enjoyed scrapbooking, scratch off lottery tickets, her four canine companions, watching the Colts, and spending time with her grandson.

Survivors include her mother, Carolyn; her husband, Dennis; two daughters, Kayla M. Casey of Beech Grove and Kyla R. Casey of Indianapolis; her brother, Tom M. (Wife: Kim) Roberts of Indianapolis; and her beloved grandson, Hunter Lester.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Greta Faye Casey on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. Tyler’s birth, your fighting for me with neighbors and the precious moments when we talked to granny in her final hour. I never told you enough but it will not stop here that I love you cuz and I will miss our long talks on the phone.   9. Greta, it has been over a week since I heard your voice. I have to say when I was down you always thought of a way to bring me up. I will miss our conversations about the Colt’s. I am trying to be strong and comfort Kayla but I am weak thinking about how you’re not here no more. You were like my second mother. I will never ever forget about you. You have been in my heart since the day I met you. I will always be here for Kayla, Kyla, Hunter, and Dennis no matter what they need. May you rest in peace. You have earned your wings. Thank you for giving Kayla life and letting me date her. I will not disappoint you anymore.

I met Greta and Dennis and Kayla one time on the 4th of July many years ago when they came out to my moms(Maggie Overpeck’s) for a cookout and fireworks that my brother and his friend Gary Davis were doing at the house. Greta was so nice and friendly and lots of fun. I am so sorry for your families loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family

  12. I’ve known Greta for many years, all the way back to when I was at school #21. We use to hang out together at each school that we want to, #21, #28, and Tech. I know the family down to helping take care of grandma at the doctors office. You are at a great person Greta, you will missed. RIH Angel.
