Karl E. Lee, Sr., 88 of Mooresville passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his daughter’s residence in Mooresville. He was born May 21, 1928 in Farmersville, IL. On November 8, 1946 Karl was united in marriage to Mary S. (Jones) Lee and she preceded him in death.

A hard worker and excellent provider for his family, Karl was self-employed for most of his working years; as a truck driver, he hauled heavy equipment and he operated his own mowing business, Lee & Son Mowing, for many years. Karl was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his loving family and friends.

Along with his wife Mary, Karl was also preceded in death by his son, Karl E. Lee, Jr. and a great grandchild.

Survivors include his daughter, Cathi S. (Mike) Vollmer of Mooresville; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
