Margaret M. Hoover

Margaret M. Hoover, 84, Camby, passed away September 16, 2016. Mrs. Hoover was born September 6, 1932, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Harry and Zelda (Shatzley) Corwell.

Mrs. Hoover attended high school in Chambersburg and relocated to Indiana in 1957. She worked for 20 years at Woolworth & Company at the Greenwood Park Mall and retired as the manager of the snack bar. Most recently, she had been a member of North Madison Baptist Church and previously was a member of Suburban Baptist and Northern Park Baptist Churches. Mrs. Hoover enjoyed reading and singing church hymns. Her memory will be cherished by a loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Canie Hoover; a daughter who died at birth, Rachel; and siblings, Harry Thomas Corwell, Betty Monn, Janet Evans, and Mary Beard.

Survivors include her children, Belinda Wirey (Carl) of Indianapolis, Karen Green (Reggie Maxwell) of Indianapolis, and William Hoover (Cheryl) of Camby; sister, Donna Melott of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather on Thursday, September 22, 2016, 5 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016, at the funeral home. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate and burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
