Willa Mae Russell

Willa Mae Russell, 94 of Camby passed away September 12, 2016 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Mooresville. She was born April 10, 1922 in Aurora, Indiana to the late Harry and Flora Jamison. On November 29, 1941 she was united in marriage to Harold Russell; he preceded her in death.
Known to all as Grammie, she was a homemaker and a faithful member of Aurora First United Methodist Church for many years. She also worked at the Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for several years.
Along with her parents and her husband Harold, Grammie was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles; three sisters, Mildred, Dorthea and Viola; her daughter, Bonnie K. Russell and her grandson, Zac Russell.
Survivors include her children, Victor Russell, Sr. of Avon and Thomas Russell of Cicero; three grandchildren, Victor Russell, Jr., Charles Russell and Ryan Russell; five great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and her loving and devoted caregiver, Laura Russell.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Grammie from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at River View Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillforest National Historic Landmark, P.O. Box 127, Aurora, IN 47001; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
