James M. Reynolds, 85, Indianapolis, passed away May 27, 2016. Mr. Reynolds was born November 30, 1930, in Columbia, Kentucky, to the late William Goebel and Velma (Riddle) Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille (Murray) Reynolds.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and had been a member of the VFW Post 1120. Mr. Reynolds retired from Consolidated Freightways and also worked more than 20 years for Dohrn Transfer Company. He was a member of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Indianapolis. A soft spoken and easy going man, he enjoyed looking after his garden and took pride in caring for his yard. His memory will be cherished by a loving and devoted family.

Survivors include one son, James C. Reynolds (Nicole) of Martinsville; brothers, William Reynolds of Columbia, Kentucky and Eugene Reynolds of Greensburg, Kentucky; sisters, Ruth Noe and Evelyn Reynolds, both of Louisville, Kentucky.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 7 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time.   1. I’m so sad to lose such a good neighbor, of 19 years. He was such a hard worker, even in old age. He would not only shovel his own driveway and take care of his yard, he would help elderly neighbors care for theirs. You were always welcome at his home and he was always ready with a smile. I will miss him, as I know his son will, who visited him every Sunday. That shows he must have been a great dad too. – Dan
