Margaret Lilian Taylor

June 25, 1992 ~ April 28, 2016

Margaret Lilian Taylor went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2016, while surrounded by her family. Margaret, “Maggie”, was the daughter of Gordon and Debra Page.

Maggie was born on June 25, 1992, and for the 23 years she was on Earth she lived every minute of her life to the fullest. Her desire to explore took her around the world to Europe, Australia, South and Central America, and all across the United States. Her desire to help people in need led her to fulfill her lifelong goal of earning a BSN from the University of Indianapolis School of Nursing and become a registered nurse. She was always courageous, always bold, and always kind. Her compassion and joyful spirit inspired many, but especially her husband, Caleb Taylor, who will always remember the way she loved her family, loved to laugh, loved holding hands, and loved to dance.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Caleb, her parents, Gordon and Debra, her brother and sister-in-law, Zach and Melissa Page, her maternal grandparents, William and Frances McLaughlin, her paternal grandmother, Betsy Page, her beloved dog, Ebenezer Waffles, and many friends.

Being around Maggie was like feeling the warm spring sunshine on your face. She was love and kindness to everyone she met. She would not want you (the reader) to be sad about her leaving this world. Maggie is now experiencing more joy than is imaginable and is free from the disease that burdened her for so long.

Contributions can made in her memory to the University of Indianapolis School of Nursing.
Those of you who know Maggie know that she is a very private person. She never needed or wanted to be in the limelight. We will respect her wishes as we plan a very private family gathering. Visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.

  9. This picture was taken by me back in 2011 when we were on a show choir trip to NYC. Maggie and Caleb were seniors at Mooresville High School and I was a junior. I had always looked up to the both of them, especially as a couple. But there was always just something about Maggie. Never once did I ever see a smile not on her face. She always was bursting with compliments and positivity. I was going through a lot relationship-wise my junior year of high school and having such a solid couple and young woman in my life for that short period of time made life seem easier. Right before I took this picture, we were all about to ride a ferry over to see Lady Liberty and Caleb had asked me to take a picture of them. It was my favorite picture of the trip then and still is now. Rest peacefully and beautifully, Maggie. You were truly a blessing to numerous people’s lives.

  10. I was so honored when asked if I would be Maggie’s godmother. She was an incredible young woman, and all that were blessed to know and love her will miss her terribly. Rest on peace, sweet Mags.

  11. Maggie was in 8th grade & Sammi Jo was in 7th, they were chosen to cheer in the Boscove Thanksgiving Day Parade! Cold, rainy but so much fun! Such a sweet young lady!

  12. The first time I met Maggie was at our Pucci Family Reunion. She got out of the pool and wrapped a towel around her shoulders. She stood there and was looming at all her relatives that she didn’t know. I sat and watched her look at one person and then when it came to my turn she saw I was watching her I smiled at her and she smiled back at me with that radiant beautiful smile that I will never forget..at that moment the first thought that came to my mind was ‘I’m staring at an angel from heaven.’ And that was what I saw evertime

  13. I have so many memories with Maggie, and they have been playing on repeat in my head since I heard the news. I definitely have too many to share them all here, but I can say that they are all very positive memories that I will cherish forever. I think some of my favorite memories are of the random days where we had our moms drive all the way to Castleton Mall for Build-a-Bear or when we skipped school to go shop at Limited Too and Claire’s (and all of the other stores that were so cool when we were young) and the many road trips we took together, both to Florida and to dance nationals. I will definitely be spending some time here soon flipping through old pictures to bring back even more of the amazing times we had together.

  14. Maggie’s ambition is such an inspiration. Our prayers go out to such a wonderful family.

  15. Maggie is safe in the arms of our Lord. Our prayers have now turned for all of those who feel her loss, that the Lord will touch them with His peace and comfort. We love you guys and wish we were closer to lend our support. Jane and Manuel

  16. Maggie was such a beautiful person.we were in choir together. I never seen Maggie sad. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face it was so contagious. 18. When I think of Maggie whether when she was a little girl dancing, or a teen in high school, or as a young woman, I see her smiling lovely face. She radiated a quiet, calm glow. She was truly a very special lady. She had a special grace that was palpable. I’ve been inspired by her love of life and people.

  19. My prayers are with Maggie’s Family during this time of sorrow! May she be in eternal rest and peace! May her light always shine! Sincerely, Michele Moran

  20. ‘That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse . . .’ said Mr. Keating in DPS quoting Walt Whitman. He then challenged the class, ‘What will your verse be?’ Maggie has truly contributed her own very special verse because all of us who know her found her bright smile contagious, her quiet yet full-of-determination demeanor an instant purveyor of determination and strength that far exceeded her diminutive stature. Maggie, you and Caleb went from two lovebirds who sat side by side in class to a team who will continue to inspire each other as well as all of us who know and care for you until and through eternity. Rest, dear Maggie.

  21. Heartfelt condolences from Angie (Kennedy) Gunnell, Malachi McKinney, Rosie and Joe Behymer, and Caleb and Crystal McKinney.

  22. Maggie was a sweet little girl the last time I saw her out riding on the golf carts around the property. It is sad to think that she has left so early. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. May you find peace in the knowledge that she is smiling down upon you. Tony and Leslie Weiske

  23. Every memory, every thought I can conjure of Maggie, she is always smiling in my mind. She was truly one of the most life affirming, positive young people I have ever known. We shared a birthday and that was always special to me. We will remember you always sweet girl… <3

  24. It was a blessing to run into Maggie and Caleb at Kroger about a month ago and hug them both. We chatted for a bit. She looked so beautiful, her complextion was that of an angel. She and Caleb are a testimony of what love looks like. What a beautiful person God gave us to share, our deepest simpathy to the family.

  25. Deb, Katie and I express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Please know we have you in our thoughts and prayers. John Frapwell

  26. I can clearly remember the day that Maggie was born. I went to see her new and lovely face lying next to her mom, my dear friend Deb. Maggie had such a pure heart, a courageous spirit, and a genuine smile. She will be loved and missed always by everyone who knew her.

  27. Maggie was certainly loved by all and a joy to be around. Even as she battled her illness, she was smiling and confident and radiated peace that only God could have infused in her. What a testimony to others about living every day to the fullest and dying gracefully! She was an amazing young woman.

  28. Maggie was a sweet, adorable 1st grader who grew to become a beautiful, talented young lady. It was an honor and privilege to have been her teacher. As her guest at the Top 20 Banquet, I was so proud of her and what she had accomplished! She will always have a special place in my heart and memories. She truly was ‘an angel on earth’. With love and heartfelt sympathy to her family. Carol Foltz

  29. Maggie came to work as a tech at St. Vincent and I had the pleasure to train her. She was such a kind, caring and sweet person. I knew the moment she said I’m in nursing school that she would no doubt be an amazing RN someday. I remember her finding out about this disease still working at St. Vincent. She was so brave and wore her cap like it wasn’t anything. Her smile and kind heart will truly be missed my many!

  30. Sadly she did pass her husband is my nephews best friend since kindergarten Galeb is heartbroken Christopher is right by his side
