Susan so sorry about your Mother. Thoughts & Prayers are with you
Eleanor was a teacher at Newby for Bill. He remembers her as a good teacher who cared about her students. I never worked with Eleanor, but we went on a few conferences together when we were both teachers and Bill and Mr. Colbert were principals. The one thing that I remember about those trips is that Eleanor always collected restaurant menus. She must have had many in her collection. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Colbert family! You have done so much for the Mooresville students and community. Eleanor will be greatly missed. Love Tim and Bev Viles and family
May God bless your wonderful family during this difficult time. May He grant you peace and fill your hearts with joyful thoughts of a life well lived and comfort you with Mrs. Colbert’s everlasting love. Mr. Colbert, I was in your 6th grade class in 1966-67 and I learned so much from you. I vividly remember that we shared many laughs that school year and you challenged us to be our best in a very caring way. Mr. Hayes was our student teacher and we had so much fun. I cherish our class photo to this day. Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher and mentor. I earned my Elementary Education degree in 1979 at Butler because of teachers like you and also the influence of my parents. May your heart find gentle moments in the days ahead and may your family bring you joy. I truly enjoyed seeing your photos and the beautiful life that you created. Sincerely, Jane (Bernard) Giannoulas, San Diego
