Annabelle Lehr Huff

Annabelle Lehr Huff, 89, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully January 29, 2016, in Avon Health & Rehab. Mrs. Huff was born February 21, 1926, in Centerton, to the late Lester Lee and Mamie (Rike) Lehr.
Mrs. Huff attended Martinsville High School. Having accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life, she was baptized at City View Church in Avon, where she was a member, at the age of 78. Annabelle was a sweet and caring person who cared for foster children for many years. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and was an accomplished seamstress. She will be missed by a loving and devoted family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Huff; sister, Clarabelle Painter; brother, Arthur “Bill” Lehr.
Survivors include sons, John Huff (Rae) of Avon and Danny Sparks (Sheila) of Paragon; daughters, Marlena Rogers (John) of Indianapolis and Sue Ann Hinkle of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Annabelle Huff on Monday, February 1, 2016, 5 to 7 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Her son-in-law, Br. John Rogers, will officiate the 7 p.m. funeral service. The committal service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, 10 a.m. in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
