Raymond Roy 'Teet' Grimes, 86 of Monrovia, passed away December 30, 2015 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mr. Grimes was born August 4, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Ernest Glen and Cammie Ola (O’Brien) Grimes.

He worked as a lab technician at Beveridge Paper in Indianapolis for many years; after retirement, Ray owned and operated Perfection Carpet Cleaning for several years, he retired in 2005. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was discharged in 1953.

Along with his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Ernest, Robert and Frank Grimes and four sisters, Ida Monday, Elizabeth McCollum, Ruby Short and Dorothy Hoaglan.

He survived by his brother, Billy (Nelda) Grimes of Indianapolis; his caregiver and compassionate friend, Frankie Brenk of Monrovia; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

There will be no services for Ray at this time. Final care and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory and the Morgan County Crematory in Mooresville.   3. He was married for 40 years to Louise Marie Grimes. Who passed10 years ago, losing his daughter Patrica Burgess in 1982. surving daughter Deana Shirrell, and son Clifford Kuykendal.. Leaving behind 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. Even though you was taken away, not a day passed you wasn’t in our thoughts and prayers.
