Our Condolence goes out to the Huber Family. I am George Jones from CHS 1960 and my wife is Joyce (Farmer) Jones from CHS 1962. We remember Doris fondly. Especially me, I was in Kent and Margaret’s 1960 Class and my parents knew her parents well. I remember mother in the cafeteria, so kind. I also remember my Dad taking me as a small boy to Huber Repair Shop. Doris and I always had a good friendship as she was always so kind to an upper ‘nerd’ classmate. May God Bless her family, and all of you.
PS: To my earlier message, I had not seen Doris since 1960 when I left Cloverdale following Graduation. I married Joyce Farmer from Quincy, who was 2 years behind me in Cloverdale HS. Her Mother was from Mooresville area and had many family there and in the Mooresville Cemetery. Since 1968 and we married I have been in this funeral home many times. Kelly Poe, of Kelley’s Cafeteria south of Mooresville, an Uncle of Joyce’s and others who worked and lived around Mooresville.
I knew Doris for 65 years, we lived down the street from the Huber family. She was always ‘Doris Marie’ to me as long as I can remember and I always called her that. She was a wonderful person and always fun to be around and visit with. I moved away 50 years ago to CA, but reconnect with her in Cloverdale 5 years ago. I have always been in contact with Barb and family over the years. My Mother’s family is from Cloverdale, Clearwaters, Macy and Zella Hedrick. I went to school the first 5 years of my education in Cloverdale. My Condolence to the Huber Family, Doris Marie will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, near and far. Nancy Norman Murphy class of 1957.
If we are unable to attend the service we express our sorrow of her passing. Since we have known her from her childhood we remember as always smiling and being happy. We want to share our remorse with her brothers and sister ,and their children. Our best wishes for their futures. Love, Roger & Martha Williams
