Roberta E. Brown

Roberta E. Brown, 88, lifelong Morgan County resident, died peacefully September 19, 2015, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mrs. Brown was born February 26, 1927, in Morgan County, to the late George E. and Berniece (Smith) Holmes.

She graduated from Mooresville High School. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Mooresville First Christian Church and the VFW Post 1111 Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by sons, Gene D., Scott W., and Dale C. Brown; foster brother, Darrell “Pete” Holmes; grandson, Meredith Brown.

Survivors include sons, James R. Brown (Claudette) of Indianapolis and Robert C. Brown (Kathy) of Mooresville; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; foster nephew and nieces and their families.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Roberta Brown on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 5 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, with Pastor Jim Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
