Edna Pearl Willis

Edna Pearl Willis, 96, Camby, died peacefully at home on August 20, 2015. Mrs. Willis was born April 14, 1919, in London, Kentucky, to the late James and Birdie (Johnson) Poteet.
Mrs. Willis has been a resident of Camby since 1955. She was employed for 16 years at Harmon Pre Pack. Above all, Mrs. Willis was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took pride in raising children, cooking, and caring for others. She attended West Newton Worship & Youth Center and the former New Hope Full Gospel Tabernacle. She will be forever remembered by a loving family and many friends.
Mrs. Willis married the late Lawrence Lincoln Willis on March 13, 1937, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a son, Garcie Willis; a daughter, Phyllis Osborne; brothers, Bruce Poteet, Ray Poteet, Samuel Miles; sister, Maxie McConnell; half-sisters, Pauline Carter and Pansie Taylor; granddaughter, Jennifer Osborne.
Survivors include her children, Randall Lee Willis (Mary) of Mooresville, Earl E. Willis (Brenda) of Camby, Curtis L. Willis of Gosport, Kenneth D. Willis (Debbie) of Franklin, Nancy L. May (Bob) of Quincy, and Janice K. Gott (John) of Camby; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Edna Pearl Willis on Sunday, August 23, 2015, 2 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. I love you Grandma I will miss you but I am so happy you are in heaven with grandpa, dad and Phylis. I know it was a beautiful home coming. You are my angel and I know you will be watching over us. Give everyone hugs and kisses for me and tell my Dad I love him and think of him everyday.

Great Godly woman that let me call her Grandma all these years! She raised a wonderful family which I love them all! I wish I could be there for the family but living out of state makes it difficult in times like this!
She was such a sweet loving lady and always had a smile and always had a kiss and a hug for me, she was an angel
