Gretchen Joan Exner

Gretchen Joan Exner, 88, Plainfield, died August 15, 2015, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mrs. Exner was born June 21, 1927, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Lossie and Conza Mae (Persifield) Rinker.

She graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. Along with her late husband, James W. Exner, she was the co-owner of Jimmy’s Motor Block Service for many years. A proud homemaker, Mrs. Exner enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn. She will be missed by a loving and devoted family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Exnerl; brother Jan Rinker.

Survivors include her children, Janice LaRoche (Harold) of Mooresville, Jimmy (Debby) and Jeffrey Exner, both of Plainfield; brothers, Jimmy Rinker of Syracuse, John Rinker of Syracuse, Jerry Rinker of Texas; sisters, Barbara Markley of Milford and Jacqueline Lahne of Brownsburg; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
