Martin Unger

Martin “Marty” Unger, 47, Mooresville, died suddenly May 25, 2015. Marty was born February 16, 1968, in East Chicago, to the late Fred and Mary (McGrath) Unger.
Marty attended Roosevelt High School in East Chicago. He had worked as a concrete finisher for Creighton Concrete in Martinsville for 20 years. Most recently, he was employed at Advantage Engineering in Greenwood. Marty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was known to enjoy a cold beverage, and always liked a good party. He also enjoyed sports, especially watching college and professional basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Angela (Short) Unger; children, Martin Unger, II, Joe Unger, Aryonnah Richardson, Alison Short, Kimberly Unger, all of Mooresville; brothers, Michael and Fred Unger, both of East Chicago; sister, Kimberly Rodriguez of East Chicago; grandchildren, Martin Unger, III and one granddaughter, Brooklynn, who is on the way.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The service to celebrate Marty’s life will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. I met Marty when I was just a teenage boy… We lived in the same trailer park.. I mowed his grass only just a few times… But he passed the word around and my business grew rather fast… He will be missed but never forgoten… Rest easy my friend, until next time…
Man o man ….. marty!!! 🙂 I met marty about 30 years ago….. he kinda took me under his wing and showed me what it takes to make it in this world….. from ‘mooresville block’ to ‘creighton concrete’ that man taught me how to be a concrete finsher!!!! He told me one thing…. you have to care!!!!!! Magoo magoo magoo!!!!! Damn bro I don’t even know were to start or stop???? But not being harsh in any way but I see that we all got r time!!! I always told you man heaven wasn’t ready for you….. and hell was scaredof ya!!!!!! But bro looks like heaven is ready and hell is still scares of that left!!!!! See ya marty!!!! I’m gonna sit right here on the edge of the peir…….. AND DRINK A BEER!!!!! LOVE YA BROTHER! !!!!!! 😉 and I will see you again!!!!

Such a funny guy when we all would play cards..I was a freshman in highschool when I first met this wonderful man and I will never forget the laughs we all had together and the friendship..R.I.P. Marty 😥

i first met Marty when i was 17 he lived across the street from my mom . i was out side after work one day working on my car and he came over and asked me hay you think you can take a look at mine next i said sure thing man .we have been friends every sense he was like family threw good and bad he was always there no matter what.i love and miss you Marty may god bless you and keep you .
