Julia took such good care of my son, Leo, while he was in the SCN, and us. We are extremely lucky to have had her as a care provider during an extremely difficult time. It saddens me deeply that she is no longer here. Prayers for all her family, friends and colleagues.
Thanks for the kind words

I am saddened about the loss of Dr Foster. I had the pleasure to work with her, collaborate with her, and shared many laughs with her. I will always remember her as a very kind and professional doctor who knew how to reach out to families .Her knowledge was immense and her kindness was endless. I wish peace and smiles to all, as we remember her ….. Ann Schroeder
Thanks for the kind words
I worked with Dr Foster at Riley as a nurse, and she was also one of the pediatricians at the triplet birth of my daughters 21 years ago. I remember how caring she was and how at ease she made me feel that my babies were in good hands. I felt confident with her in charge. I am sure she touched a lot of lives in her career and will be greatly missed. I’m so sorry for your loss………Karen Clark
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Dr. Foster, but do know her husband Jeff, who has always been one of my favorite people at Riley. My heart aches for your family. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Susan Miles
Susan, Thanks for the prayers and support!
The flesh changes form… from alive to dead. The spirit remains, put fast and stead.
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Julia through our membership at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne.
Thanks for your support
My heart goes out to Julia’s husband and her family. I remember a trip to Florida with her and another friend years ago.. We all relaxed, laughed and actually made up songs and sang on the beach every day – none of us were singers, btw! There wasn’t enough sunscreen to keep her from getting burnt to a crisp. I also remember numerous conversations with Jeff before he worked up the courage to ask Julia out. She was so beautiful and elegant and shy & Jeff was everybody’s friend – boisterous and charismatic – and he totally worshipped her from afar for so very long. They brought out the best in each other. Happily ever after ended much too soon. Julia made such a tremendous difference in the lives of so many people, she will not be forgotten and she will be missed terribly for a very long time. Condolences to her entire family. Thank you for establishing the scholarship fund in her memory.
I am honored to have had the privilege of working with such a classy woman and incredible physician! Julia was a welcome addition to Special Care Nursery! All of us will remember her with loving memories! What a wonderful way to carry on her legacy with a scholarship fund! Watch over us Julia as we continue to care for our special little ones!
Thanks for the kind works Cynthia. I was a very lucky man!
