Georgie was a strong woman who always took care of her family. She always had food on the stove ready for Herb. She grew and canned the best dill pickles for her granddaughter. She was always available to care for and babysit her grandchildren. She was always up for cards or games and adored the simple things in life like puzzles. Georgie loved conversation, visiting relatives, and bingo. She had a smile that lit up her face and a laugh that was contagious. She was always fair and supportive of her family. Georgia was a beautiful person that I’m happy smacked my butt a few times to make me a better person. The mold isn’t around to make women like her anymore. She will be greatly missed. Herb picked a great person to be his life partner and mother of his children. Joy in joining him once again Georgia.
Thank you Laura. You hit it out of the park and nailed it on the head. Your words spoke of Grandma to a T. Love you!
Thank you Laura. Yes you did!!!
Thank you Laura for sharing your memories.
Georgia was the best grandmother one could ask for. She took me in as her own when I was only four and gave me a great loving home. All my aunts and uncles accepted me as a sister and I am so thankful for that. God received a great angel on Feb. 9. I know she is happy and having the time of her life where she is. We spent many days playing cards, dice and going to Bingo. She loved Bingo. She loved playing jokes on you at Halloween, especially on Uncle Bill. She was a loving and caring person and lite up any room with her beautiful smile. She loved to garden and chop the heads off of our chickens – lol -that was something to see as a little girl. I will miss you grandma, but I know you are always here with me.
I’m so happy that I got to know you and be a part of your loving family. I’m glad to know we have another wonderful, beautiful angel watching over us!
