Douglas E. Shoulders

Douglas E. Shoulders, 72, Mooresville, died October 9, 2014, in Franciscan St. Francis Health, Indianapolis. Doug was born August 1, 1942, in Indianapolis, to the late Maurice E. and Rosa (Brantley) Shoulders.
He attended George Washington High School in Indianapolis. A member of Teamsters Local #135, Doug was a truck driver for Griffith Motor Freight for 17 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Martinsville American Legion Post 230 and the Martinsville VFW Post 1257. Doug enjoyed fishing and boating when his health allowed him to enjoy time outdoors. He will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Padgett.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth W. and Joann Shoulders (Joann) of Mooresville; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, October 13, 2014, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2014.
