Virginia Millet

Virginia B. Millet, 96, Mooresville, died October 9, 2014, in Franciscan St. Francis Health, Mooresville. Mrs. Millet was born August 21, 1918, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late William and Mabel (Chalmers) Marshall.

Mrs. Millet worked for 30 years for Allison Gas Turbine, retiring in 1979. She was a devoted member of the Waverly Baptist Church. She was strongly committed to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Jason.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Millet; daughter, Carol Simmons; brother, Richard Marshall.

Survivors include her son, Michael S. Millet of Mooresville; grandson, Jason Millet (Adrienne Kinser) of Mooresville.

Friends may call Monday, October 13, 2014, 5 to 8 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral will be officiated by Rev. David Ball on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.
