Meryam "Mert" Spangle

Meryam “Mert” Engle Spangle, 99, Mooresville, died peacefully October 7, 2014. Born, August 1, 1915, in Sandborn, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Andrew and Nancy Ann (Farley) Engle.
Mrs. Spangle was a proud homemaker and was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifetime member of the Mooresville Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alpha “Dave” Spangle;daughter, Shirley Willhide; a brother, George Engle; sisters, Jeretta Ping and Flossie Potter.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Perry (Charles) of Camby; one son, David Spangle (Linda) of Bicknell; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call Friday, October 10, 2014, 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery.
