James "Steve" Ackelmire

James “Steve” Ackelmire, age 68, of Monrovia, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Born May 7, 1946 in Beech Grove, he was the son of the late James and Anna Katherine (Thompson) Ackelmire.
Steve was an iron worker with Local 22, and prior to that, a millwright with General Motors for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sharloyn (Hicks) Ackelmire whom he married on November 26, 1982; and his brother, Mark Ackelmire.
A memorial service will be Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
