Donna K. Pless Stewart Ross Verbosky

Donna K. Pless Stewart Ross Verbosky, 80, Mooresville, died August 23, 2014. Donna was born December 26, 1933, in Bloomington, to the late Leland and Zelona Marie (Taylor) Pless.
She graduated from University High School and attended Indiana University Art School. She retired from Honeywell Home Security in 1996, after working in sales for many years. Donna was a member of the BAGGIE. She also owned and operated The Ross House in the 1970’s. Additionally, she enjoyed various crafts, including flower arranging and had taught painting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent J. Verbosky; son, George Stewart; step-son, Michael Verbosky; sisters, Jean Jones and Barbara Funkhouser.
Survivors include two daughters, Mindy Breeden (Danny) of Martinsville and Angela Burnett (Rusty) of Mooresville; sons, James Stewart (Jennifer Smith) of Tennessee, and Fred Stewart (Theresa) of Greenfield; sisters, Pat Weir (Buddy) of Jackson, Tennessee and Carol Harm (Robert) of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August, 26, 2014, 5 to 7 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. I helped care for Donna during the last year of her life. No was the activities assistant for her at the nursing home where she lived. I loved Donna! her infectious laugh and sweet sleepy girl demeanor was something I’ll remember forever. Miss you Donna V, Rest in Peace. Prayers for her family.
Love you grandma! Thank you for teaching me that I deserve the best in life and to never settle for less. I will miss you so very dearly!
Although I hadnt seen her in many years, I will always have fond memories of Miss Donna giving us advice when I stayed all night with Mindy. She made my flowers for my prom and wedding oh so long ago also. My thoughts and prayers are with her family now. She will be missed. Lin Connell-Haltom
Happy times come to mind easily when thinking of Donna…. her Family, Friends and Fun ! She shared her energies and welcomed all to her home, whether for a planned event or spontaneous, her enthusiasm and smile never seemed to wane !
