Christina "Tina" "TK" Fugate Layton Cobb

Christina “Tina” “TK” Fugate Layton Cobb, 61, Mooresville, died August 14, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor. Tina was born October 6, 1952, in Franklin, to the late Thomas Fugate, Sr. and Audrey (Pearson) Fugate, who survives.

She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1971. Tina was employed in the Licensing Department at Kaplan Financial for the past six years. Prior to, she worked for Rolls Royce and the Allison Division of General Motors. She attended Calvary Heights Baptist Church and Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle. Tina was an avid country line dancer and enjoyed going to 8 Seconds Saloon on a regular basis. She will be missed by a loving family and Many Friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Krystal Dawn Hardbarger.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Layton (Cherie) of Chicago and Kelly Layton (Sonya) of Amelia, Ohio; mother, Audrey (Pearson) Fugate of Mooresville; brothers, Tom-e Fugate (Charlene) of Indianapolis and Duncan Fugate (Diane) of Mooresville; nine grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Tina’s life will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014, in First Baptist Church, Mooresville, beginning at 4 p.m. Friends and family will gather from 2 p.m. until service time.
