Jina Rae Tucker

Jina Rae Jacobs Tucker, 50, Mooresville, passed on June 30, 2014, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Jina was born May 16, 1964, in Martinsville. She touched the lives of many as a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend.

Jina earned respect from those around her with her honorable ways and was known for her caring spirit. She was a hard worker with a love of entrepreneurship. A Jimmy Buffet fan, Jina also enjoyed scrapbooking as a pastime. She attended Mooresville High School and graduated from Ben Davis High School. She was employed in Client Services at John Bethel Title Company in Bloomington. Jina was previously employed at Meridian Title in Indianapolis. She will be greatly missed by a loving family and many friends.

Jina is survived by her mother, Burma O’Neal; husband, John Tucker, to whom she was united in marriage July 8, 1988; daughters, Brittany Dih Herald (John Shultz) of Plainfield and Taylor Dawn Tucker Murphy (Brendan) of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Jamy Nicole Tucker; daughter-in-law, Amy Nicole Raasch of Franklin; siblings, Nicole O’Neal Rayman of Indianapolis and Stacy Lynn O’Neal of Indianapolis; step-mother, Janice Jacobs of Mooresville; step-brother, Ronald Carl Gibson (Sharyl) of Avon.

Jina was preceded in death by her father, Thurman “Jake” Jacobs; son, Joshua Daniel Tucker; sister, Jami Jacobs Smith; brother, William Shaunessy O’Neal.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quality of Life Fund c/o The Community Foundation of Morgan County.   3. I actually met jina in grade school! Speedway. Newby elementary. Later I seen her again when I married into the Herald family! What a small world! Who would have thought Jinas daughter would be my niece? Jina was an awesome person and awesome mother! cutest dimples I’ve ever seen 🙂 Heaven has gained an angel today!   9. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Jina very long, but I felt her warm and gentle spirit the moment I was introduced. Jina was a delightful addition at our office and she is missed every day! May her memory be for a blessing.

  12. Jina & I were best friends growing up in Indiana. After my family moved to Arkansas she would come and stay the summer, with me. Then the following summer I would fly to Indiana and stay with her. Then, after dad was transferred to Texas, Jina came to stay for that summer. At the end of summer I would fly back to Indiana with Jina and stay a few weeks there. When I got married; we flew Jina in, to be one of two Maids Of Honor alongside my sister Pam.
