  1. maribeth was a dear friend of mine, her obituary, did not include, her being a foster mother, and the help she gave to the needy. red barn in martinsville, comes to mind. making sure children had books, that was very important to her. she would often give them out free in her book store. she was very patient and caring with her foreign exchange students. she loved teaching them, and learing about thier families and life styles in their countries. she is dearly missed genny hyatt

  2. Maribeth and I go way back, she was the first person to greet me at St. Catherine church when I first moved to Indiana. We enjoyed our visits no matter how far in between, even in Florida I would visit when I was just passing thru and it was great. She always had lots to talk about, and so did I, on the phone or in person it was always uplifting to spend time with her. I will miss her dearly. God Bless and may you have eternal peace. Your friend’ Kelly McKenney

  3. I met Maribeth via Kathy on several ocassions and recall that she was very caring as well. Very sorry to hear of your loss but I’m sure many lives were enriched by her life. Bill Pangburn

  4. I knew Maribeth when she was young and lived on Ritter Avenue, even tho we didn’t go to the same school. She went to the Catholic school and I went to PS #57. We had a friend in common, Eileen Whitworth, who also passed away too early. I always loved hearing someone call out her name, so I named my daughter Mari Elizabeth, so I could call her Maribeth. She was a sweet person and I’m sorry to hear of her passing.

  5. Maribeth O’Brian, Maribeth was a dear sweet friend at Howe and we swam at the park, (played at tennis – I mean we carried tennis rackets) went to Loy’s, the Irving, it seems like in another life.

  6. Maribeth was like my second mom. I have known her since I was baby. She has watch me grow up. She was always there when I needed something. Every time I talk to her she would always tell me stories about how I was always in the kitchen trying to cook with her. Even though over the years we lost touch she holds a special place in my heart and always will. My condolence goes out to her family. Love Michael Campion
