Paul Richard Barks

Paul Richard Barks, 78, of Mooresville died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. He was born on September 16, 1935 to the late John and Violet Barks.
He is also preceded in death by his brother Dale Barks.
Paul enlisted in the United States Navy and graduated from the U.S Navy Sonar School. After his honorable discharge he provided for his family by working as a delivery driver for Wonder Bread retiring after 30 years of service. Paul’s passions in life were his dogs, his motorcycles, and his love for his family; he was known for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Barks of Mooresville; his three sons, John Paul Barks of Mooresville, David Aaron Barks (Wynette) of Mooresville, and Shawn Thomas Barks (Sherry) of Eminence, IN.; his two sisters, Sue Bell (Don) and Linda Douglas (Bill); his sister- in- law , Pam McAdoo and his brother-in-law, James Page (Rosie). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory with burial to follow at White Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11AM until 1PM at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
