Nancy Sue Taylor, 66, of Mooresville passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. She was born in Indianapolis on October 20, 1947 to the late William II and Myla Taylor.

She worked as a cashier at TA Truck stop for many years, she enjoyed 40’s “Big Band” music and old movies. She enjoyed spending time with her family which was very important to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Filkins and her husband David Jr. of Racine WI; her grandson, Brandon Filkins of Racine, WI; along with many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00PM at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. A gathering of friends will take place from Noon until 2:00PM on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.

  1. So sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. Her grandmother, Edith Poe, lived next door to us when I was growing up so I knew Nancy for many years. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. Nancy, another girl and I hung out together in high school. My favorite memory is of the summer Nancy brought us to a musical tent meeting at her church. She was always cheery and upbeat, thoughtful of others, but not afraid to express her opinion if the situation called for it. Condolences to her family. You have lost a gentle soul.
