Karen S. Coomer, 57, of Spencer IN died Monday, January 6, 2014 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer. She was born July 9, 1956 in Danville to the late Devon and Rose Woodard.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Michael Coomer.
Karen was a serious fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed his music and film.
She is survived by her two children; her daughter, Robin Coomer of Chicago and her son, Andrew M. Coomer of Gosport, IN; her life companion, Gary West of Spencer IN, her two siblings; Cathy Marcum of Mississippi and Mark Woodard of Colfax, IN.
There will be a memorial service at 2PM, Friday, January 10, 2014 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Family will receive friends from 12PM until 2PM at the funeral home on Friday.
Contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

I can remember teaching Karen and her mom and sister to drive in our old rambler with push button controls will miss you Aunt Linda@
I will always remember all our good times growing up.staying over nite out inthecountry riding bikes,playing pingpong,danceing to records.spending hours on an oldfashion phone,writing notes and letters the old fashion way. I will always love her and her quirckie ways of viewing life.
