Mary Ann Rihm passed away at Meadow Lakes Assisted Living in Mooresville, Indiana on September 8, 2013.

She was born on April 5, 1917, in New Castle, Indiana. She and her husband Norbert, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1993, owned and operated an I.G.A. Foodliner for 35 years in Morgantown, Indiana. They were members of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, Indiana. In 1971 they retired to Venice, Florida, and were members of Epiphany Cathedral. In 2006 she moved to Meadow Lakes Assisted Living Facility in Mooresville, Indiana, and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority in Morgantown. She was a 25-year volunteer for the Red Cross in Morgantown and a 14-year volunteer while in Florida for Dr. Shoemaker at the Center for Sight.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Ruth Rihm of Mooresville, Indiana, Jack Rihm of Valdosta, Georgia, John and Bonnie Rihm of Carmel, Indiana; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Judy Rihm of Valdosta, Georgia in 2010, and two sisters, Betty Wooten and Louise Carson.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1200 North Indiana Street, Mooresville. Memorial contributions for Masses may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Mooresville, Indiana, to Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, Florida, or to St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, Indiana.   1. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Mary Ann very much. She was a kind and loving woman. Mary Ann was a wonderful friend to my parents when they were neighbors in Venice and I always looked forward to our long chats and lunches when I would visit. Her loving, sparkling personality made a difficult and stressful time much easier, both for our mother and for us. Before long, she became part of our family.
