Ronald L. Foster

Ronald L. Foster, 62, Brooklyn, died January 9, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mr. Foster was born October 25, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ron attended Monrovia High School and graduated from Mooresville High School. He worked for many years for IUPUI as a metal worker and more recently for Edwards Electrical/Mechanical. He was a member of Eminence Baptist Church. For many years, he and his late wife, C.J., ministered as gospel singers; their group was called Foster Child. He also loved technology, especially working with his IPad and IPod. He will be missed by all.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte “C.J.” Foster; father, Oliver D. Foster; son, John A. Foster.
Survivors include his mother, Josephine Foster of Monrovia; children, Shannon Bonham (Robert) of Greenwood, Stacie Bartley of Indianapolis, and Brandi Foster of Indianapolis; sister, Cherlynn Coley (Ken) of York, South Carolina; grandchildren, Katrena Gromer, Kassandra Jenkins, Kylie Jenkins, and Tripp (on the way); great grandchild, Hayden Rhys Gromer.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Cremation will follow the service, and inurnment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
