I am sorry to hear the news about Mr. McAuley. I don’t have a favorite story, but please know that when I was younger and life seemed too hard, your family always made me feel happy and secure. What a wonderful influence you were in my life. Also, my parents loved Mr. McAuley, and your family dearly. I will be praying for you during this difficult time.
My biggest memory of Bill was when we were in the 8th grade in School #3 next to our church. The class played charades one time and , we did the song, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. Since Bill was strong and I was small, I was the ‘baby’ and Bill carried me into the class and I shivered. I don’t think they figured it out. My fault, not Bill’s.
