Wayne William Schafroth III

Wayne William Schafroth III, 42, of Camby, died suddenly and all too soon on Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 26, 1981 to the late Wayne William Schafroth Jr. and the late Linda Gayle (Truesdell) Craig.

He was a 1999 graduate of Coal City High School in Coal City, Illinois. He had worked for Crystal Clean in Indianapolis for over 9 years as an Oil Refinery Operator. 

Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, and all-around family man. He loved his family dearly and dedicated his life to caring for them. He married his wife, Stephanie Marie (Pratt) Schafroth, on August 27, 2011.  Together they have a daughter, Leena Schafroth. Wayne and his family enjoyed camping, concerts, music festivals, and traveling. His family and friends will forever remember him as a kindhearted, loving, selfless, and intelligent man. His loving and likeable demeanor made him a friend to all he encountered. 

He is survived by his many family and friends including his wife, Stephanie Schafroth of Camby; daughter, Leena Schafroth of Camby; brother, Joshua (wife, Erin) Truesdell of Savannah, TN; nephew, Logan Truesdell of Florence, AZ; and uncle, David Schafroth of Eddyville, KY

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, July 7th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Wayne’s Life Celebration® memorial service will follow beginning at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. His earthly remains have been cremated.

  1. Here are some memories of a family vacation we took to Orange Beach a few years back. Those memories will forever be cherished! Wayne was very welcoming, but we got the honor of welcoming Wayne into our family when he married my niece Stephanie. They have been arm and arm ever since, and the love they shared was untouchable. Everyone will be looking out for Stephanie and Leena, so rest east nephew.

  2. I got to know Wayne and his family 2years ago when they needed to rehome there huskey they drove to Illinois to bring Titan to me and Wayne was so heartbroken over he was crying when he was leaving I felt so bad for him RIP my friend and Titan says RIP Daddy
