Ervin E. Mylcraine

Ervin E. Mylcraine, 88, of Mooresville, passed away at Hendricks Regional Health on December 31, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis on November 30, 1936, to the late Ervin and Lily (Brown) Mylcraine. Ervin was a Mooresville High School graduate. He married Wanda Perry Mylcraine on November 25, 1961, and she survives. Ervin was a longtime member of Camby Community Church.

Ervin loved farming and owning his own pallet company. He and Wanda enjoyed adventures together in their motorhome, houseboats, and on their motorcycles. Ervin’s greatest love was his family, and he was proud of all their accomplishments. 

Ervin is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Lily Mylcraine.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Wanda Mylcraine of Mooresville; sons, Mark Mylcraine (Tina) of Plainfield and Rodney Mylcraine (Michele) of Plainfield; grandchildren, Brandon Mylcraine (Allie), Kristen Mylcraine, Morgan Mylcraine (Tyler Garzinski), and Tyler Mylcraine (Katie); and one great-grandson, Brooks Mylcraine. 

Private graveside services will be held in Ridgeland Township Cemetery in Thawville, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  1. So sorry. My husband and I had a lot of fun with Wanda and Ervin over the years.
    Ervin drove the school bus years ago when my dad was in the hospital.

  3. ERVIN WAS A GREAT FRIEND WE STARTED SCHOOL TOGETHER AND WAS FRIENDS FOR 80 YEARS AND MANY, MANY HUMOROUS STORIES AND ADVENTURES WE SHARED. AND ALSO MEANINGFUL MOMENTS AS WELL. WE ACCEPTED JESUS AND WAS BAPTIZED AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO USHERED IN EACH OTHERS WEDDINGS GOD’S PEACE AND COMFORT TO WANDA AND FAMILY
