Jean Farley

85, of Mooresville, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on February 8, 2025. Jean was born on October 22, 1939 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Janie (Bray) Meece.

Jean operated her own beauty shop out of her home for many years. She enjoyed bowling, cutting family members’ and friends’ hair, softball and especially playing with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strong will and her feisty personality, as well as being a wonderful Mom and Mamaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Wayne Farley, daughter Renee Beaton, and siblings Hughie and Betty.

She is survived by her son Kevin Farley; daughter Carrie Swearingen (Mark); brothers Bud, Charlie, Gary, and Dale; sisters Jenny, and Joyce; 5 grandchildren Justin, Zach, Elijah, Micah, and Josiah, and 7 great grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jean’s life on Sunday, February 23^rd from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 24^th at 1:00pm in Barnesburg Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
