
Velma M. Carpenter
78, of Camby, passed away on March 9, 2025 at the Franciscan Hospice House. Velma was born on April 4, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois to the late Owen A. and Mary Frances (Lowery) Taylor.
Velma enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jack out west to New Mexico and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a good-hearted wife to Jack for over 41 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jack E. Carpenter, sons Charles A. Lercher, Randall D. Lercher, Mark R. Lercher, 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.
In observing her wishes, Velma will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
