Rebecca Sue Ritchie

Rebecca Sue “Becky” Ritchie, 82, of Mooresville, passed away at home on June 5, 2025. She was born in New Albany, Indiana, on May 31, 1943, to the late Roy Davis and Eleanora (Bassham) Asselborn. Becky graduated from New Albany High School in 1962. She worked as an escrow secretary for several companies for more than 20 years.

In 1992, Becky married Bill Ritchie, and he survives.

Becky attended First United Methodist Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed planting flowers, and she was proud of her large flower garden. Becky was happiest when spending time with her family. It was a joy to have her niece, Shannon Polley, live across the street with her three children, Lizzy, Charlie, and Irelynn. Becky loved making memories and caring for the children.

In addition to her parents, Becky is preceded in death by her son, David Bristoe, and sister, Judy Holland.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Ritchie; sons, Tony Newcomb, Gary Newcomb (Seana), and Patrick Bristoe; grandchildren, Duke Newcomb, Dylan Bristoe, and Dominic Bristoe; sisters, Phyllis Leclair (Jack) and Sandy Dozois (Chris); as well as several other extended family members.

Final arrangements and cremation has been entrusted to Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
