Lucy A. Howard
77, of Martinsville passed away on June 9, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Lucy was born on June 28, 1947.
A true caregiver at heart, Lucy took her passion for helping others and became a nurse. She served in various nursing roles throughout her life from the Emergency Room to home health care, to health administration. Additionally, she loved animals of all kinds. She loved attending cat shows as well as traveling to Hot Springs, South Dakota to help at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary. She will be remembered for her love of animals, and her selfless, caring heart; always putting others before herself.
She is survived by several cousins, and good friends who will all miss her dearly.
Following her wishes, she will be cremated. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Lucy’s life privately.
