Born in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Norton, who left us peacefully on July 1, 2025, at The Springs of Mooresville at the age of 77.

Born on August 15, 1947, in Indianapolis, Cindy was the daughter of the late William Leon Hite and Juanita Luckett Young. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1965. Cindy dedicated many years to a career she truly loved as a local real estate agent, where her vibrant personality and her love of people were evident.

Cindy’s greatest joys in life revolved around her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren, and found immense happiness in bringing loved ones together for large family gatherings. A wonderful cook, she delighted in entertaining a houseful of people, creating countless cherished memories around her table. Known for loving and spoiling all six grandchildren she created fun and loving memories for which we are so grateful.

In 1967, Cindy married David Norton, and together they shared 42 loving years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Juanita Hite, and her former husband, David Norton.

Cindy’s legacy lives on through her devoted children: Craig Norton (Rhonda), Robbie Norton (Susan), and Christy Gothard (Matt). She was a beloved “Mimi” to her six grandchildren: Mac, Gracie, Sam, Maria, Cody, and Alex, and her two great-grandchildren, Kallie and Colt. She is also survived by her siblings: Jerri Crosby, Jane Todora, and Charlie Hite, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cindy was a wonderful mom and mimi and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to The Springs of Mooresville for their compassionate care.
